The Shire of Wyndham East Kimberley is incredibly proud of the Kununurra Splash Park — a vibrant and inclusive community space that has quickly become one of the region’s most popular family attractions.
Installed and manufactured by Water Features by Design, this $3.2 million project has provided a high-quality, free, and accessible facility right in the heart of town. The design celebrates the unique character of Kununurra, featuring playful local elements such as the iconic Boab tree and estuarine crocodile.
The Splash Park offers safe and engaging water play for children of all ages, from toddlers to teens, and has been warmly embraced by both locals and visitors as a fun, family-friendly destination that reflects our community’s spirit and lifestyle.

The work was carried out in the most professional manner by Water Features Design within budget and on time. The shire would recommend Water Features by Design to any Shire that was planning for the construction of water features within their Shire.

In 2022 Water Features by Design provided the Shire of Christmas Island with a design for a Splash Pad for the Shire’s Foreshore Padang Park.
That design met the requirements of the Shire of Christmas Island for a non-water recycle Splash pad.
